London Intensive Care Ltd is a specialist Intensive Care company led by eminent Consultants, Doctors John Goldstone and Geoff Bellingan. Dr John Goldstone heads up the LIC team. John is a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at University College Hospital. Dr Geoff Bellingan is Medical Director for the Surgery and Cancer Board and a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at University College Hospital. He is General Secretary for the European Society for Intensive Care Medicine.
Drs Goldstone and Bellingan have worked together at University College Hospital since 1991. In that time the Intensive Care team has gone from 5 staff to 12 Consultants, over 40 junior medical staff, and the nursing team has grown to 180. Bed capacity has increased from 9 to 35. Equally dramatic advances have occurred in Intensive Care medicine over this period of time. The consultants proactive approach has made University College Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit a global leader. As a result UCH admits both national and international patients.
